police用法
指警察时往往前面有定冠词the，指“多个警察”时，前面有时有数词，有时没有。可以说a few police，six or sevenpolice。例如：
We have reported the matter to the police.
我们将这件事报告了警察。
Several hundred police were on duty in the street.
几百名警察在街上执行任务。
注意：police作主语时，谓语动词应该是复数形式。例如：
The police are looking for the little boy.
